How to feel comfortable in front of the camera

Almost every couple tells us the same thing on the first call. We are so awkward in photos. We promise you are not, and the proof is that natural, relaxed photos come from the way the session is run, not from being a model. Here is how we get there together.

Every price is published, no form required. See the full pricing, then tell us your date and venue.

It is our job to direct you

You should never have to wonder what to do with your hands. We give clear, simple direction the whole way through, a place to stand, a way to move, something to react to. You just follow along, and the comfortable photos take care of themselves.

Most of our favorite frames come from movement and prompts, not stiff poses. Walk toward each other, share a secret, tell them the thing you love most about them. The camera catches the real reaction in between.

An engagement session is the warm up

If the wedding is your first time in front of our lens, the camera can feel new on the most emotional day of your life. An engagement session fixes that. You learn how we work, we learn how you move, and by the wedding it feels like a friend is photographing you.

Couples who do an engagement session are noticeably more relaxed on the wedding day, and it shows in every frame.

Small things that loosen everyone up

Bring your person, your music, and your sense of humor. Book the session for a time of day you feel good, eat beforehand, and wear something you already know you look great in. Confidence in your outfit translates straight to the photos.

If you are nervous, just say so. Naming it takes the pressure off, and we will start with the easiest, most relaxed setups before anything else.

Common questions

What if I hate having my photo taken?

Most of our couples say the same thing. We direct you the whole way with simple prompts and movement, so you never have to pose or guess. The relaxed photos come from how the session is run, not from being a model.

Will an engagement session help me feel more comfortable?

A lot. It is a low pressure warm up where you learn how we work and we learn how you move. Couples who do one are noticeably more relaxed on the wedding day.

How do you get natural reactions instead of stiff poses?

We use movement and prompts rather than rigid posing. Walking toward each other, sharing a laugh, or telling your partner something real gives us the honest moment in between.
